I just. I loved this. There were moments when I laughed so much I couldn't breathe, and moments when I wanted to cry, and some serious ick, and a lot, *lot* of real tension, of real fear for certain of the characters. By the end I was shouting at the TV.

Fantastic.

I shall have to watch it again with the brats at 11.

Watching it through for the second time, with my cynical Bun asking pertinent questions, the ep does leave a few, hmm, questionable points to be raised. But I loved the emotional ride!

I LOVED how empathetic Jack was with the alien. You know that's because of his own captivity during the Year That Never Was. LOVED how pissed Ianto got when he realized Jack was in danger. LOVED that. Poor Tosh and Owen is just so damn oblivious.

Rhys bugged me as usual, as did the scenes with Gwen and Rhys (except for the one at their flat when they blew up at each other and is that the same flat?). However, when Rhys asked Jack if he were gay, I may have lolled. Just a wee bit. And their whole male posturing bit back at the hub was cute.

But I HATE the UST with Jack and Gwen. They're laying it on thick and there better be a damn reason for it.
