Apr. 13th, 2008 10:02 pmTime for a brief round-up, I think.
severalplums has made a most pleasing start, there were more than twenty icons submitted for both the first two challenges, and two very nice tutorials done after the first one. Most gratifying.
I spent quite a bit of this evening working out what I *think* looks like a good running order for our summer show. Have sent it along to colleagues for inspection. Then, the painful phone calls to people who didn't get chosen. Ah, joy.
We went out for an early dinner yesterday; as a reprehensibly large number of weekday meals are taken in front of tv or computer, it's nice to sit together as a family and talk. I have done well with Boy - I bought him some maths books, and it seems he is actually working through them and doing the problems. As he's taking a year off before doing Mathematics at university, this seems like a good wheeze. Wonder if Bun will do likewise. Or get a job. Anyone want to employ a couple of indolent but reasonably intelligent brats for a few months?
Bun has a PILE of very good chocolate in her bedroom. Seriously, I'm talking Camp Sparkle style here, though scaled down from twenty to one. No wonder she let me eat her Creme Eggs.
Finished a story, yay! Well, pending beta advice, that is. Phew. I have been very sluggish, probably because I have a long, improbable and utterly Mary-Sueish scenario playing out in my head, which I am not going to write down but which is rather blocking up the fic-writing channels.
There is a large fly zooming round our bedroom. Death and carnage will ensue, because if I don't manage to zap it, my Beast will be filled with unholy wrath and will rampage with the flyswatter. Quite true.
Oh, what the heck. Inspired by the imprudent example of
turps33, I meme:
A-- Go to my fanfic and pick out a line or two from one of my stories.
B-- I will respond with which story I think it's from.
C-- I'll write a scene of at least 100 words for anyone who stumps me on any subject/pairing of their choosing.
