Back from a thoroughly agreeable few days chez
nopseud, of which more when I have put my thoughts in order. Meanwhile... A long, long time ago (last week, ie approx 2,000 yrs in LJ time) I answered
turps33's icon meme. It's obviously something like, comment to this post and I'll pick six of your icons and ask you to tell me about them. So if you want to perpetuate it, tell me so in comments.
turps33 picked these:
This is one of my oldest icons, and I think I just made it because I've always figured my daemon would be a sloth, or I'd be one if I were an animal. I'm naturally indolent! (Which is probably why I haven't gone to the trouble of re-spacing the text for better legibility.)
A somewhat revamped version of a lovely Lance pic. It was one of the earliest icons that I made and was proud of, and I began to attach it to my
fanfic100 posts, which is why I've kept it in circulation. I love Lance's smile here, just that same enigmatic not-quite-a-smile, not-quite-not that La Giaconda has. Well, I think so, anyway.
I get a Photoshop magazine which comes with giveaway stuff, and one glorious month brought me a set of Mucha brushes - only half a dozen or so, but I made a bunch of icons using the brushes and some fun colouring with gradients. This crop just made me think of dancing, and so there we are.
Not much to say about this one, it just amused me. Actually I seem to remember making it for an icon challenge, and either my entry was late in or I put it in the wrong place, either way it didn't get voted on. Obviously this has traumatised me, sufficient that I remember it!
turps33 knows very well what this icon is about! See, at Camp Sparkle the First, we composed an 'add five words' story, in which Brian's Pecker made his debut. Pecker is a duck. It's a much better name than Donald. For further trauma explanation, see here. There is also a recording, and anyone who hasn't acquired it via
dirtypod is welcome to ask me.
Aah, Ian Flawless, the naked man from the Lacoste Pour Homme ads. Yum. That bum! That grin! Those ankles! Yes. Really, this should be played every Christmas. It's not a very good icon, sadly, but he is yummy, and that's why he's here.
That's it, really.
