Dec. 31st, 2005 10:19 amI've had a good Christmas. It's very satisfying to have done well with the gifts. Husband now thinks I am prescient, as two days before Christmas he wore a hole in the knee of his favourite leisure trousers, and received two pairs on Christmas Day. Boring, I know, but at least it was a surprise! Also my SeSa and popslash card exchange recipients both squeed convincingly (phew!). It really is a lot more fun to give than to receive. (Even when you receive a digital camera.) But I still haven't got anywhere with the wossname I (had) intended for
nopseud. Meep.
Thanks to
trumpeterofdoom,
quiet000001,
mickeym,
turloughishere (I've scanned it for icontexturing!) and
nopseud (beam!) for the cards - in my usual disorganised way I have cards in various heaps about the house, and I'm pretty sure I had more from LJers which I didn't find in my brief search this morning. Oops. If you sent me one, I probably have it. No popslash exchange card, though...
We've done a little bit all together as a family. Which is nice, given that we usually separate to our respective computers (though the brats tend to share, one plays and the other observes). No playing of board games together as last year (the Lord of the Rings board game is very enjoyable) but we watched the entire recent Doctor Who series on DVD while F-i-L was still here, and enjoyed it very much. Bun and I shared knowing looks when dear Captain Jack arrived, didn't dare ask what F-i-L made of him. Actually we managed to miss the Christmas Day Doctor Who, because we were watching Doctor Who... oh well. We're so out of the habit of watching TV. But I thought David Tennent (sp?) was the best thing about Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire so I shall make an effort to watch the new series. And last night, the four of us tucked on to the sofa together to watch the first season of Veronica Mars, and enjoyed it very much. Have watched four eps. Why do I like Logan? Hmm.
Now, for no better reason than that I felt like it, the girly meme thing.
