I am *so* tired. Had to get up early this morning after a late rehearsal followed by quick emailed notes to people who needed them, to go and see my Pa in Lincoln. Something which would be less tiring if it were more rewarding. He was very snoozy today and didn't have much to say, except on the subject of his rather beautiful new sculpture, a glass-wings and stone creation which I admired a lot. The creator was a carer at the home, and she came in to talk about the sculpture - she's going to work full-time at her art, which I think is fabulous.

Oh well.

Chica, I just wanted to say thank you for all those icon entries in all the challenges. I really appreciate all your work and energy that went into participating in the challenges.

I hate to have done it but I closed the challenges for now. Maybe later it'll come back but right now I'm too burned out on them to keep running and getting not much. But I wanted to say thanks for all the comments and everything. :-)

I have a lot of sympathy - it must be so disheartening working on the challenges and getting so little response. I've really enjoyed my regular fix of icon-making, and indeed, it was because I was tempted into the Lance challenge a couple of years ago (no, longer!) that I've learnt so much about how to use Photoshop.

Maybe you'll come back with just the one challenge, after a couple of months or so?
