Mar. 5th, 2011 12:55 amHad an enjoyably self-indulgent day today. First there was the gym to be got through, of course, but I seemed to be in quite good form.
We went into Snorbins for lunch at Wagamama's. Then to the art gallery where I have been coveting Kerry Darlington pictures for a while now, and the chap in there leapt to attention and ran downstairs to find a picture for me which had come in that morning, and turned out to be just what I wanted. I was in there on Wednesday and talked to him about the pics I liked... So, it is now Mine. Yay! It's not unlike this one. Quick trip to Lush, then on to Hemel for a couple of minor chores.
After which we went to the cinema to see "The King's Speech". Which we both liked very much. Beast, being a Big Softie, was of course awash with tears, which I wasn't, but I loved the way it was such a very personal story. The pomp and splendour of the monarchy was just a backdrop.
I think we were the youngest people in the cinema.
