... which is why I'm awake and posting at twenty past one. It's hard to wind down after chorus, particularly when my Beast went into town today to get me flowers (yellow roses and crysanths!) and also brought back a gold-flaked brownie for me which I finished when I got home from rehearsal. Om nom.

Birds were chattering at each other in the garden this morning. Despite the (very mild) frost, I guess spring is very much on the way. The sky was wonderfully clear last night, and the stars looked so beautiful.

I had three of the barbershop ladies round here yesterday evening to see if we might make up a quartet. It went quite well, and it was fun to sing in a little group, so, we’ll see. I’m now on the look-out for songs that would be enjoyable and different—the chorus necessarily sings songs that are broad-spectrum appeal (which mostly means a bit bland), but with only four of us to please, we could be more adventurous. As long as the bass line doesn't include anything below bottom E, because D is really hard and I cannot stretch to a C.

We’ll be doing Bohemian Rhapsody at harmony college (new polecat), which should be awesome.

Evidence of wasted time: I just score 4096 again AND managed to get another 2048 onto the board at the same time. Total score 66,760. I should spend more time with my knitting. Which I have just frogged *again* because it wasn't working. I shall try a really simple (boring) lace scarf and see if I can use up the damn yarn!

We got the first season of Agent Carter for Christmas and have just watched it—and found, to my delight, that one of the uncounted zillions of channels Virgin supplies is showing season two. So I’ve seen up to S2 Ep2. No spoilers, thank you!

And I love the show! Peggy Carter is the best!

But. I have an odd problem. Whenever Sousa is onscreen I am firmly reminded of Lance Bass’s husband. A side-by-side comparison reveals many differences, but still, the overall impression is quite striking.
