Jul. 22nd, 2016 10:42 pmToday I discovered the existence of Root Beer flavoured Pop Tarts.
This is horrifying!
I've had
nopseud and
ephemera staying with me for a couple of days ( \o/ ) and today we went into Norwich in search of waffles to satisfy
nopseud's craving for same. We were in the vicinity of what turned out to be an awesome sweet shop (I was *so* tempted by the fudge) which displayed a whole stack of Reese's stuff, and also an incredible variety of pop tart flavours. The only edible ones appeared to be Cinnamon and… what was the other one? Ah, yes, blueberry. There was blue raspberry, for goodness' sake! Breakfast food should not be blue!
Anyway.
We've had a lively time, and it has mostly sunned on us, to our pleasure/horror (we all have English skin, which is not quite as delicate as Scottish or Irish skin, but which is not accustomed to the rays of the Giant Death Star in the sky). We looked at Norwich Castle, and yesterday visited Blickling Hall, a very charming Jacobean mansion with lovely gardens and extensive woods. And a lake. I was moved to become a member of the National Trust on the spot. We have had Many Tasty Foodz, and they have been exposed to the wonders of Norwich (A Fine City). Good times!
My Beast, of course, is in Australia. Father in Law sold his house, so Beast scrambled to get a ticket to Launceston (a great deal harder than we expected) and left on Monday, and since he arrived has being doing sterling work helping get things organised for the move. They are due back here in about ten days' time, so that Beast can be here when we get tenders in from hopeful builders.
