Didn't have a lot of time for LJ last week, so if there's anything I should have seen but didn't - new stories? - do poke me and point me in that direction!
The show finished on Saturday night. It went very well indeed, and I got comments from quite unlikely people about how good it was, most gratifying. I spent most of Friday and Saturday constructing cards for the cast members, as is my habit, so the dining room is still a bit of a mess. Allowed myself a day off yesterday, in which apart from clearing a path to my preferred seat in the lounge, I didn't address the Stuff that has piled up, but read most of my new book instead, had a very long, very hot bath, and arranged my thank-you flowers. (I bought some 'Magic Soil', and left it to soak overnight. It's amazing stuff, like tiny beads. When I came down in the morning, it looked like a bowl of water... but stirring it made the blobs of 'magic soil' show up. It's cool stuff!) And watched Doctor Who - couldn't see it on Saturday because we were all out for waiter duty at the Playhouse.
Well. There being no rest for the wicked, I have to get the audition pieces for "Iolanthe" sorted out by Thursday, which means a fair bit of work. As there is a pile of ironing about seven feet high, I shall watch "Iolanthe" dvds as I tackle it. Sigh.
It's my Beast's last day at work! He's gone to return the various computers and other hardware to the office, and will then be a gentleman of leisure, which he most thoroughly deserves.

Date: 2008-06-30 04:13 pm (UTC)So your Beast is now free from the yoke of wage slavery, yay! I hope he'll find fun stuff to do with his time. And that we'll see him at the next Camp Sparkle of course!

Date: 2008-06-30 08:51 pm (UTC)Beast returned home with pretty loot, in the form of a cut glass jug, very nice. And we went to Wagamama's for supper to celebrate with wholesome and delicious food. (Well, the white chocolate and ginger cheesecake probably wasn't that wholesome.)

Date: 2008-07-01 09:06 pm (UTC)And congratulations to Beast too, of course! (Hee, does he have any idea of how popular he is around here? ;) Now that he's free and all, couldn't you delegate some of the ironing to him?
