It is - she had an impressive ability to embroider complicated yet fairly repetitive things. There's a lot of stitching in that mat! I expect she designed it, too.

It's not my cat, you're quite right - Socks has a black, heart-shaped nose! But she does have a habit of sitting on my arm when I'm using the laptop.

It's a lovely rug, the colours are gorgeous. :-) The cat has decided on somewhere else to sit for the moment, though, she tucks herself into the very corner of the sofabed this week.
