*puzzlement* How do I add an RSS feed to my friends list? I *have* a couple on there, but I found a blog I like the look of, and can't figure out how to subscribe.

You have to manually create an lj RSS feed "account" using the blog's RSS feed, and then friend that "account". There should be a link somewhere, I think. /is unhelpful

I've just discovered the Most Unhelpful List in the world... there's a link to syndicated feeds on the page I got when I'd posted my entry, but the listing is in order of popularity. Good god. Any chance of me investigating ten pages of non-alphabetically listed sites? I think not. I'll bookmark the bloody thing instead.

Oh I KNOW. I battled that list many a time. Once I was one of seven -- seven -- people signed up for Yahoo BSB alerts.

You can sort that list alphabetically by clicking either "Username" or "Feed Description" - not that that help much - or you can use the "Add URL" box at the bottom of the page I gave you as a kind of crude search function. It's really one of the most uninformative sections of LJ ever!

You paste the link for the RSS feed into the little box at the bottom of this page. If it already exist it will tell you, otherwise you'll be asked to name it.

Nah, just organised - I've done it several times and grew tired of having to hunt for the link every single time, so now I've added it to the "Journal management" links on my layout :-)
