Today, we investigated the dishwasher to see if it was leaking. Happily, it was not.

Next, we investigated the fridge/freezer, to see if it was leaking. Happily, it was not.

Having pulled the fridge/freezer out from its niche (with considerable difficulty as it is a very, very tight fit, and taller than either of us, we discovered that the pipe running behind it into the garage where the washing machine is fitted, was not so much 'leaking' as 'flowing', a tiny torrent of water gushing merrily onto our kitchen floor.

Happily, my Beast is a born engineer, and can figure these things out. He mended it.

Meanwhile, we have a large gap in the floor tiles where the floor is squishy wet. We have a fridge/freezer in the garage. We have another squishy carpet in the garage, after defrosting the freezer. (Do not ask why we have a carpeted garage. My husband is strange.) Two of my pairs of socks were drenched, as I did not wish to get my furry slippers drenched.

Sigh.

Well, at least there was no rehearsal tonight. We watched THE BEST BITS of the Martha season of Dr Who instead.

Hurray for having such a handy Beast! :-D

I look forward to hauling the fridge back into the kitchen...

I would imagine so! I feel your pain. ;-)

I'm glad that it's fixed, it's just a pity it caused so much havoc first,

That does sound like quite a mess! Yay for handy Beasts, though.

But most importantly:
Two of my pairs of socks
My inner geek is very interested in that. Does it seem like a complicated construction to you? Did you think about how to phrase it or was is automatic?

/geek ;)
