Provocative opening statement.
Exaggerated reaction followed by unhelpful suggestion from secondary character. Query, followed by response offering no assistance.
Expression of amusement by additional secondary character. Sweeping statement concerning the nature of Antagonist's character. Request by Protagonist for indication as to proper course of action. Indifferent response by secondary character, followed by improbable new analysis of situation. Sarcastic reaction and subsequent irritation of Protagonist.
Tentative action by Protagonist, which has no apparent effect on Antagonist.
Conversation between Protagonist and Antagonist. Tentative request for clarification. Assumption by Antagonist that Protagonist will be unable to comprehend situation. Enigmatic and amused behaviour from Antagonist, consequent augmented frustration of Protagonist.
Positive action from Antagonist progresses the plot. Protagonist is surprised, and continues to be surprised for duration of action.
Protagonist experiences revelation and is in consequence in complete sympathy with Antagonist.
Repetition of provocative opening statement, now applied to both Antagonist and Protagonist.
It's one of mine, just so you know, and it's a short one. Oh, and Lance is the Protagonist, which makes it a whole heap easier, ahaha.
