We had one cat who brought them into the house (and released them alive and well). And I hear that one of my parents' dogs brought a live bunny into the house. Obviously far too well fed, but wanting a fresh snack tucked away for later. :)

I swear our cat was trying to set up a breeding colony of field mice in the house, she brought in so many and let them go in the hall. And voles. And bats. And a MOLE.

Seriously! More than one. I tried to explain to her that a) they're a protected species and b) they carry nasty viruses, but she wasn't a bit interested. Fortunately, since we took out the little wall in the garden that she used to sit on and watch them, she hasn't caught another one

Yeah, he was a really sweet cat, but I swear the dog we had then was a much better mouser.
