My computer refused to boot up this morning.

No time to deal with this, as today Beast and I went to close down FIL's house. It took a while. Had to stuff another car-load of rubbish in to the local tip, carry the emptied fridge to the next door neighbour, and pack up a full car's worth of tinned and frozen food (having discarded everything that was either past its sell-by date or had been put into the freezer before 2009, of which there was much), cleaning stuff (I shall not need to buy cleaning material again for... the rest of my life?), and FIL's Ridiculously Massive Amount Of Luggage To Take On The Plane (aha, but we have a Plan for this).

Lunch included a mighty hot chocolate with whipped cream, with what I am now pretty sure is the inevitable result of Sudden Influx of Dairy Product, an explosive and unpretty thing I won't detail. Visits to bank, packing company, estate agent and post office; discovery that Exchange of Contracts will *probably* take place on Friday.

Loaded the Stuff into the car, and got home at about seven-thirty, to find that my lentil, butternut squash, tomato and chorizo mixture had turned into something that with brief assistance from a kitchen propeller became extremely good spoon-stands-up-in-it soup.

My computer still refuses to boot up.

WOE.

I can of course get my internet fix via the laptop, but email is not happening until... until something wonderful happens to my computer. Grar.

Cat making unhappy sleeping noises. Cat is going to be making very unhappy noises tomorrow.

I am mightily impressed by your stuff-clearing! ::has flashbacks to the baked beans from 1988::

I hope the computer sorts itself out or is sorted! :(

That sounds like a super productive day!

Your soup sounds fantastic. I would call it pöperö, which is a very useful word for whenever your cooking turns into unexpected (thick) mush.

I hope you get your computer back to life soon!

it's not like there's ever a good time for your computer to decide to just stop, but this sounds like Really Not The Moment.
