Nov. 28th, 2011 12:27 pmWell, it's done. The play went very well—audiences left really good comments, mostly along the lines of "I really understood it", which is pretty much what you want when presenting a not particularly well known Shakespeare play.
Being encased in stage makeup and wigs makes me look much prettier than usual (see icon), but has done my skin no favours. And my poor feet—the shoes I had to wear were... well, they were pretty but painful: bronze pointy court shoes, half a size too small; T-bar black with a heel I could run in; purple court shoes; fur-lined black flatties (bliss!) and pink pointy court shoes. But I loved my costumes so much I bought various bits of them. We got the theatre tidied and put away in record time—it does help to have such a huge cast—but I couldn't face going on, at half past midnight, to an after-show party. As it was I missed most of Sunday morning, but that's fine.
This morning I have been beta-reading a guild post for my Beast, and advised him it needs moar bollocking. Heh. He's not very fierce.
Not unbusy yet, as I have a variety of pre-Christmas tasks to perform, but I'm glad the play is done.
