You know what baffles me? Pillow fights. Or, more precisely, the American male's apparent belief that pillow fights are sexy. Because, wtf?

This bafflement brought to you courtesy of episode 1 of Husbands, Season 2. And a bunch of other references which I can't remember.

Yes, pillow fights while wearing lingerie! I hate those scenes in movies. Right up there with the "let's all break into song and dance around the kitchen together" scenes.

I just hate the whole "let's put on baby doll pyjamas and play-fight for the boys' benefit" thing, I suppose. Grrrr. Singing and dancing in the kitchen I could get behind.

Hm. Maybe it's all the jumping and bouncing around? That's...*kind of* sexy. At least in theory, anyway.

Girls doing 'girly stuff'. Except... well, I've been in a couple of pillow fights, many years ago, but it doesn't tend to be something that spontaneously breaks out (except, perhaps, at Camp Sparkle), in my experience.

What I find hilarious about "spontaneous" pillow fights is how the pillows are so light that the people involved laugh when they get hit (and the inevitable feathers flying scene). The pillows I have are all heavy, albeit soft & snuggly. Those suckers would knock someone out cold!

Yeah, when we had pillow fights in the dormitory at school, those things didn't half pack a wallop, particularly when wielded with determination.

Of course, we weren't doing it for 'display' purposes.
