Jan. 13th, 2014 10:35 amI have been harbouring the ambition to knit a peacock shawl (more truthfully, to have knitted a peacock shawl) for some time, and this year actually began to knit. It's the Renaissance Shawl by Anne-Lisa Maigaard, and although it is not actually labelled as a peacock, it definitely features peacock feathers. I've got as far as Chart D at the moment. Rows go reasonably quickly as there are only (!) 250 or so stitches per row at the moment. Lots and lots of safety lines, but I am finding that it adds up well—there is a feeling of suspense as I approach the end of the row, which resolves very happily into the right number of stitches, yay!
It's a big pattern. I wonder if I'll finish it this year?
