Lance Bass! Sings!

Strictly speaking it's a collaboration with various people, and apparently different versions of the song are being released in different countries. It's a bit, hmm, Europoppy? Not in Justin's or JC's class. But it's catchy and kinda fun. And. Lance! Sings!
Bring on the video.
Also, I have just been reading this page and I am *dying* laughing.

Date: 2014-01-21 09:42 am (UTC)I've long been of the opinion that Lance isn't really a 'lead' singer. He can sing, no doubt, but there's an element of showoff in a good lead singer, the ability and willingness to bend a song around, that I've not heard from him. Perhaps if this song does well, he'll do more, and do it properly solo? It'll be interesting, if so, to hear whether he has that particular brand of self-confidence now.

Date: 2014-01-21 09:54 am (UTC)That would be cool, if he did a "proper" solo song. I agree that he hasn't shown that particular brand of show-offness that JC and Justin have in particular, but I'd still love to hear his voice.
I'll still buy it to support him, but I was hoping for something... different.

Date: 2014-01-21 10:02 am (UTC)I'm not a great fan of Justin's music, but I can see that it's interesting and smart even if it's not what I like; JC's album is on my iTunes (naturally) and every time a song comes up I'm delighted by the lyrics, because JC does really interesting lyrics. I want Lance to do something interesting, even if it turns out to be the kind of interesting I don't actually like very much! (Or, better, an album of American Standard Songs, which would be heavenly.) This multiple-release project is certainly unusual, but it's not quite there yet, Lance, sorry!

My favorite solo albums of the guys are JC's, Nick's first album, and then Chris's music.
Lance singing some American Standards would be heavenly! Good thinking!

Date: 2014-01-25 03:00 pm (UTC)I want to do a due South vid to Build My World, but the due South canon is very ache-y and I can't bring myself to rewatch the footage and clip it. Maybe some day.
I must admit, I like Dear Goodbye slightly more than Build My World. That song slays me.
