Jun. 6th, 2014 10:21 pmWell, I had a very agreeable Official Birthday (yesterday). 'Singing in the Rain' was a most joyful experience, and my daughter surprised me also with earrings. When we were in Sydney I'd seen some cheap but cute sparkly pairs and pointed out three or four—told her she could pick any pair and give them to me for my birthday, and promptly forgot all about it, so they were an excellent surprise.
This morning we pootled off to Wroxham to see whether we might like to live there. Well, if we were boaties, we might, but we aren't, so we won't. It was very pretty to sit by the river and watch the swans and boats as we had a cuppa. Then it was the A11 homeward, with an accident that cause us to sit woefully in a long tailback for about an hour. Ah well. I took several hopeful pictures of poppies.
Before we went, yesterday, I came upon two awesome things.
Firstly, an interview with Chris Kirkpatrick, who seems to be very willing to talk at length to anyone who'll ask him reasonably intelligent questions (which is much appreciated). via

Second, one of Brazil's biggest football clubs encourages fans to become organ donors, and reduces the waiting lists in the area to almost zero. Awesome.
And today, an adorable pic of Lance.
