Well, I had a very agreeable Official Birthday (yesterday). 'Singing in the Rain' was a most joyful experience, and my daughter surprised me also with earrings. When we were in Sydney I'd seen some cheap but cute sparkly pairs and pointed out three or four—told her she could pick any pair and give them to me for my birthday, and promptly forgot all about it, so they were an excellent surprise.

This morning we pootled off to Wroxham to see whether we might like to live there. Well, if we were boaties, we might, but we aren't, so we won't. It was very pretty to sit by the river and watch the swans and boats as we had a cuppa. Then it was the A11 homeward, with an accident that cause us to sit woefully in a long tailback for about an hour. Ah well. I took several hopeful pictures of poppies.

Before we went, yesterday, I came upon two awesome things.

Firstly, an interview with Chris Kirkpatrick, who seems to be very willing to talk at length to anyone who'll ask him reasonably intelligent questions (which is much appreciated). via [livejournal.com profile] joeysdramaqueen

Second, one of Brazil's biggest football clubs encourages fans to become organ donors, and reduces the waiting lists in the area to almost zero. Awesome.

And today, an adorable pic of Lance.

Happy belated birthday!

Thanks for the link to that Chris interview. I really enjoyed reading it, and liked that he's still so close to Justin.

Oh, Chris. *happy sigh*

I had to look Wroxham up on a map, having not heard of it before, and it does seem to be very surrounded by rivers and green.

Thank you for sharing the sparkly goodness! Chris is adorable in the interview. Good to hear that they're still friends and still enjoy getting together and open to working together.

Lance is cuteness! Although I would have been greatly humored if Michael had turn the hose on him! LOL

For someone who sometimes puts such a lot of work into teasing people and being an ass, Chris is always so immensely and utterly classy when he talks about the other guys, and fans, and just everything in general, really.

Oh, yes, I hadn't even noticed Lance was missing. I was too distracted by the fact that Chris keeps so kindly shipping poly!Timbertrick. A month on the road with his wife and Justin, on Justin's tour! Chris, you spoil me with lovely new canon.

My headcanon is that Chris's wife is calm, cool and entirely willing to go along with whatever Chris does.

I'm pretty sure that would be a non-negotiable requirement for marrying Chris in any case.

I agree, I've never heard Chris talk badly about any of them.

Oooh. I was Googling for the ridiculous picture of Lance with the sea lion, and in the process I found the name of the place where the picture was taken!
http://www.casaaramara.com/

Lance left a review in their guest book:
http://www.casaaramara.com/guestbook/lance-bass/

Lance doesn't mention kissing the sea lion (because maybe that happens all the time in his life? I have no idea) but one of the other guests mentions the sea lion and that she was there at the same time as Lance :

ETA: Lance is so sappy and romantic. Seriously, he is the sappiest human being alive on the planet.

ETA2: The more I read that review, the more baffled I am that the sea lion doesn't get a mention. There's a shoutout for the chef, the rest of the staff, the grounds, the pool, the jacuzzi, the home cinema, the games room, the decor, the beach, the sunset, the whale-watching...but not the sea lion. How can he find time to mention the name of the guy who did their interior design, but not to point out THE 700lb SEA LION IN THE SWIMMING POOL?

Okay, seriously, why would you not mention smooching a 700lb sea lion as one of the highlights of the stay? Is it really that much more impressive to watch a couple of whales hanging out in the bay?

Why is Lance so keen to play down the sea mammal highjinks? Clearly there is more going on here than meets the eye. My next question is...which boybander is the were-sea lion?

(I seriously need to make myself a boybanders + sea mammals = ♥ icon.)

Also, when we win the lottery, we should definitely hold Camp Sparkle at that place. Check out that jacuzzi! Although, hmm. Doesn't look like they have zip-link beds. That's a point in favour of the Ship Inn!

You know, we really should look into the possibility of Spain for next year. Particularly if we've moved to Norwich and are not altogether handily placed for collecting people from airports any more. I bet we could find something in Spain in the off season... or maybe Greece?

How do you feel about left-hand drive minibuses? :-)

We could definitely look, yes. I wonder if we could find a place in a city, where we could use public transport to get around? Barcelona or Valencia, or somewhere like that. There would be plenty to do and we wouldn't need to hire any transport. I guess the downside is that they probably have less of an off-season.

Either that or it's Nick Carter.

For some reason, Nick Carter is also my default were-BSB.

CHRIIIIS. I marvel at the fact that after all these years, he still knows how to hit me right where it hurts! 'Cos if he ever DOES end up roping JC into the whole co-composing thing -- like, with the intent to record and/or perform PUBLICLY? I will die. DIE.
