It will surprise no-one, least of all me, that I have written at least one story for each Nsync pairing, but I was quite a bit surprised to find that I have written every intra-Backstreet pairing except Kevin/Brian at least once.

Crossovers, of course, are a different matter. Still, Joey is the only one who has crossed over with just one Backstreet Boy (Nick), as far as I can recall; JC has two (Nick and, naturally, AJ), and somewhat to my surprise, Chris, Lance and Justin each have at least three crossover pairing stories. I haven't managed to write a Chris/Nick, so perhaps I'll have to get back to that were-manatee idea.

So, fourteen untackled pairings. Hmm. Somehow I doubt that JC/Howie or Lance/Brian will show up on my SeSa request this year...

It does seem like a rather sweet pairing, but *very* rare. I think it featured in Jae's "Coldhearted", but otherwise...?

There is a SeSa Story called Under My Tree, or something like that, that I think is Howie/JC. Or maybe Howie/Lance? I can't find it, but the NSYNCer is singing under Howie's tree and they hook up as you do. *g*

I'm *fairly* sure that was Lance/Howie - all the (very few) Lance/Howie stories I've read are completely adorable and sweet. Hmm, maybe I should try to write one where the two of them are in Evil! mode, all sharklike businessmen with big, deceptive eyes. Hmmmmmm.

I'm also about four stories—*four!*—away from completing my fanfic100 challenge. Although last time I tried to post an update, it wouldn't let me...

Those are pretty respectable numbers! I recall making a point of writing all the intra-Nsync pairings and all the Nick/Nsyncer crossover pairings, but hadn't set out to cover the rest. Still, I find I've written ten crossover pairings (including the Nick ones) and three intra-Backstreet. And if the counting is more generous, my fics do mention one other crossover and four other Backstreet pairings having happened in the past, plus the gray area of the Joey/Lance/AJ threesome in which Joey and AJ each only touch Lance. So that puts me at twenty-three pairings written, six underserved, and sixteen entirely untackled. Hmmm.

Clearly, what you need is one epic fic with all fourteen pairings!

It looks like a sort of epic "JC and Joey slut their way through Backstreet" fic would work, except eh. Maybe we need a challenge for 'write that pairing you never even thought of writing', only participation would be a bit minimal.

How about that add-to-MTYG sex scene challenge, though? I think it's worth a try.

You could go a long way towards getting through that list with one 'everyone-in-Nsync-except-Justin has sex with Brian, Howie and Kevin' story. An idea which I heartily endorse!

Do we still have access to the emails of the people who wrote for last year's MTYG? It'd be worth emailing them, I think, to see if any are willing to have a go. Possibly also the previous year? I am happy to do it, but I fear you'll probably have to talk me through the process, as MTYG admin stuff seems to leak out of my brain every January!

I'll put it on my journals and comms here and there, too, but it seems logical to connect with the actual MTYG writers first.

We can't mass-mail the 2014 authors via Elfmail now, because the active author flags are reset when MtYG moves into the reveal phase. It might probably be easiest to just get the contact mails from the public MtYG site -- every story should have a feedback mail address.

Were you thinking of limiting people to only their 2014 stories, or opening it for any MtYG story?

ETA: I'm being an idiot. I should have all the mail addresses already in the feedback spreadsheet. I'll check and mail them to you.

JC/Howie: vastly underrated! It doesn't even have a pairing smush name, which, now that I think about it, is so sad. The saddest. :(

It *is* underrated. Then again, I don't know that most of the possible crossover pairings have names... Letterboys, obviously, and I've heard of FishBone, which makes me laugh. JuNi. I quite like 'Richpatrick', but I'm not sure the pairing has much of a following.

Perhaps we should have a 'minority pairings' challenge? Do you think anyone would write anything?

Hm. We could call it...'Dorsez'? Or maybe...Kitten-something? (Quick - name an animal that reminds you of Howie! A koala? One of those teeny-tiny monkeys with the huge, sad eyes? There's gotta be something!)

Oh, awesome idea! Do I think people will participate? Well...I want to say yes. A little nagging might be required, though.
