Apparently I have done nothing interesting during the past seven days.

Actually, this is true. Well, Beast and I have been watching 'The Wire' in great fascination, and I'm hurtling through an incredible custom fit raglan sweater that will be too small for the originally intended recipient brother in law, but which will (on the grounds that it fits me) be magnificently loose and comfy on the other brother in law. And, um. Picking lots of tomatoes from the garden?

Yeah, I really haven't done anything much of late.

I have, though, developed a desire to do podfic of a Jeeves and Wooster story. If you would like to hear my mellifluous Englishness applied to a particular story, can you point me in the direction of something wonderfully Jeeves-and-Woostery that I should record?

I think that torch has a couple of J&W stories. IIRC, they're fairly short but absolutely awesome in every possibly way.

torch is the best writer of pastiche I've ever read. If P. G. Wodehouse wrote slash, those stories are exactly what it would look like.

I'm very jealous of your tomatoes as ours have been very sad this year. I don't know what the heck happened to them. We've bought an actual non-plastic greenhouse for next year, so hopefully we'll get a better crop then.

Mine were mysteriously awful last year - hardly any of them ripened, and the ones that did failed to taste like Home Grown Tomatoes. I'm so happy that this year they are ripening well, and delicious.

Mmmm, tomatoes. Is there anything else you've yet to harvest in the garden?

There are two splendid pumpkins now residing in the cool darkness of the big kitchen cupboard. And I laid in a pastry supply, so next week sometime we can haz pumpkin pie! And there are still raspberries, which are far too tasty fresh off the cane to make it into the kitchen very often, and there is rhubarb, which *eventually* decided to grow. There are a couple more squash plants which have been hinting at a really late start, but I don't expect anything to come of them. And I think I should probably harvest the last couple of cobs from the sweetcorns, and then put them on the compost.

It has been quite gratifying, apart from the lack of yellow courgettes.

Ooh, that all sounds yummy. Weirdly enough our raspberries already ripened in July! Maybe it's a completely different kind.
