Apr. 14th, 2015 09:20 pmTea, cake and knitting—can there be a more civilised way to spend an evening? I ventured into town on my own this evening to find a craft evening in a local tea shop, which I must say serves *excellent* cake. I met someone else who was there for the first time, and we had a delightful natter, so I count that a definite success.
I had been feeling the twitch of a bit too much marital togetherness, so it was good to go off without Beast. Who—I trust—had a very pleasing evening at home with his computer.
We Body Balanced this morning and then had a go at Aquafit, which turned out to be a good move, albeit exhausting. Beast found the batteries yesterday so our bathroom scales are working again, and telling me I have lost several pounds—which I suspect is my hard-earned muscle. :-( So work is called for.
Tomorrow, and the day after, the children are moving house and we have volunteered to help. As though we had not done enough moving for this decade! Ah, well.
