Cold sheep!

Apparently there is a challenge every year to go ‘cold sheep’ and knit only from one’s stash. No yarn purchases, lest you fall off the sheep!

I totally see the point.

I’m never going to do this.

I have a birthday discount this month. I am planning my stash acquisition and new project(s) as we speak.

And I have every intention of going to Fibre East this summer, handpainted yarns FTW! even though there are at least four good yarn outlets right in the middle of town which tempt me, oh, they tempt me.

Because yarn. It is enough.

I think this could be applied to other crafts, too! I love the name cold sheep though.

I don't need to buy another ribbon, or pack of decorative paper, or card base... probably for the rest of my *life*. But I bet I will.

I spotted references to 'cold sheeping' on Ravelry and had to find out what on earth it meant! It is an excellent term.

That's about how I feel. I'm trying to use up some long-held silk (it's surprisingly difficult) but it's terribly easy to be tempted, with so many yarn outlets right in the middle of Norwich.
