Well, I'm back.

So, Tuesday morning I got on a plane in Launceston, and got off it in Sydney. Then I got on another plane, and got off that in Singapore. Then I got on another plane, and got off it in London at about six o'clock on Wednesday morning, after about 22 hours of flying and I dunnamany hours in airports.
It was *so* nice to see my Beast. I nearly cried.
And when I got home, the garden was full of lilacs and bluebells and forget-me-nots, and there was blossom on the apple trees and the sky was blue and it was lovely.
And that afternoon I decided to investigate the troublesome left foot, so went to the—hah!—walk-in clinic in town, to discover, not very much to my surprise, that I have plantar fasciitis. Yep, go to Australia, return poxed and limping. In fairness, the chicken pox spots have practically gone, and did not at any point blister or even, really, itch. But, really.
I did manage to stay upright until about 8pm on Wednesday, and time-wise am more or less adjusted to home. It's rather nice to have long evenings again, even if that also comes with early dawns creeping round the curtains. But I think it's bedtime now.

Date: 2016-05-14 05:02 pm (UTC)plantar fasciitis is no fun - did they recommend the ice-filled water bottle foot rolling thing? I found that (miserable to perform but) fairly effective. *sympathy*
