Since moving house we seem to be doing a lot of recycling in *big* ways. We invited Bun's housemates parents round today to take away the huge stack of logs we've been harbouring since we moved in, and mentioned that we were going to be getting rid of the Lion's Cage in the near-ish future. And it looks likely that they will take it and give it a third lease of life, which I call excellent. It is rather a splendid shed, sturdy and well-made (with many doors) and it would be much nicer to see it installed somewhere else rather than chopped into irrelevant pieces and skipped.

I went round to meet Bun's cats this afternoon. Well, I'd met Fuller before, a beefy white cat with black blobs, a black tail, and a cheerful smile. Bucky is the one which ran away and was thought lost, but he lurked about the house and they managed to recapture him. He has eyes of different colours (one blue, one green) and is wary of large, heavy humans but much happier when the humans sit on the floor. So nice to have cats to stroke for a little while.

Are you sure Bucky is male? I thought only females could be Chimeras? (different coloured eyes)

Recycling is so satisfying, isn't it? How nice that you found new owners for an entire shed! Well, I guess it's nothing compared to the swimming pool...

Yay new cat friends!

It seems like a good thing to see the Lions Cage go to a good home, rather than the tip, if it can't sensibly continue resplendent in your garden.
