Dec. 30th, 2016 10:33 pmI did a new class at the gym today - someone there recommended it to me and was quite right. It's a mix of cardio and toning, and will fit nicely into my weekly routing *if* I can get into the class regularly. It and the yoga class that follows are always in high demand. Beast tries to be online before seven a.m. to book me in, as the bookings open at 0630, but often I'm on the waiting list for yoga.
Oh well. My thighs will complain tomorrow!

In the dog world, humans are elves that routinely live to be 500+ years old.

A critical obituary of Leia Organa.

Finally got round to casting on a new top-down seamless sweater, and it seems to be going very well. The only trouble with such a thing on one circular needle is that I have to put it on thread, or possibly another *really* long needle in order to try it on. But it looks good so far.

No progress on the house this week as the builders are, reasonably enough, not available, although the scaffolding people showed up and raised the scaffolding platform so that—I hope!—progress may be made next week towards a roof. It has been quite frosty this week (the car looked like a Christmas decoration on Wednesday morning, white and sparkling all over) so they wouldn't have been doing any bricklaying anyway.
*
Don't forget, popslash peeps and those who have a nostalgia for the once-beloved fandom, Make The Yuletide Gay stories are anonymous for another week or so, and that means this is a great time to read and send feedback. Somehow, feedback sent when the reader doesn't know who you are is the sweetest kind.
*
Still cross-posting to LJ for the moment, I guess I'll have to think about whether I'm going to continue with that or not. Hmmm.

Date: 2016-12-31 08:03 pm (UTC)Awwww, that dog post is so sweet!
I'm so glad I started using interchangeable circular needles. It makes it so much easier to change to a longer cable. And to smaller/larger needles. In any case, good luck with your sweater!
I envy you your frost. We're having such grey and dismal weather right now.
