pensnestI made citrus ice cream. A Nigella recipe and incredibly easy - zest of one orange and one lime, juice of one orange and two limes, mixed with icing sugar and quite a lot of double cream. Whipped until reasonably firm, then frozen. *Yummmm*

Thanks to Storm Doris, which apparently blew down a bunch of trees around the county, Thursday's rehearsal was cancelled. :-( I like my weekly sing.
Doris also did quite a number on FIL's greenhouse. It has taken many weeks to put it together, partly because of the weather, but mostly because Beast has had a lot of other demands on his time; however, with the exception of the two back panels (because one of them was an incorrectly supplied piece) had been constructed and silicone-sealed together a few days before, and FIL had even put his six infant fruit bushes in there.
Well, Doris blew eleven of the panels out. Beast recovered three from the garden…. FIL was in a state of great woe, lamenting that gardening is his life and if he can't even have a greenhouse, woe, etc. We suggested, reasonably, I thought, that he might invest in a greenhouse made of glass and sturdy construction, instead of polycarbonate which can and apparently did flex so much it worked its way right out of the silicone sealant. Then on Saturday morning Beast went over the fence and located *all* the missing panels, so there is to be no more talk of expensive greenhouses. Ah, well.
Epilogue: today, we had another greenhouse emergency, because FIL heard a gale warning on the shipping forecast in the middle of the night. So planks have been affixed to the remaining panes on the greenhouse in order to defend them against the gale.
We have had no wind.

Ahaha, this is an awesome thing! Animals that look as though they're about to release albums… and I swear, the second one is a boyband. To be specific, it's Nsync. There are also Icelandic Emo Ponies. And an emo bunny!!!

My website appears randomly to have mislaid several links. Very odd, but I have amended them, I hope. I now have to figure out how to do WordPress in order to sort out the Norwich Harmony site. Have poked at the edges so far but not attempted a rebuild, ahaha. Meep.
