I have happy news! Hippo and Bryan have been found. They—and Badger, whose existence I had forgotten—were lurking inside FIL's suitcase. When we retrieved it from the attic (no, they never actually left their attic bedroom) where it had been stowed, so that he can prepare at length for his Australia trip next month, there they were. So they are now happily restored to the attic spare beds.

Still no sheets, alas.

Went to see the new Thor movie on Friday, and it was much fun. Though I am becoming gradually so sick of Ever Bigger, Ever Better, More Extravagant, More Fucking Ludicrous CGI. I'd rather have a little more conversation.

I couldn't agree more. I found the VFX distracting at times. It was all very pretty and impressive, but I was way more interested in the relationships than Hela's fancy head gear trick.

Yeah, focusing on the relationships is the way to go (although, I am still not seeing Thor because of my loathing of Loki, so for this movie it is academic for me).

Hurrah for the recovery of Hippo and Bryan!

I loved Thor: Ragnarok. It was immense fun and Valkyrie was just plain wonderful.
