I'm still working on the challenge for Day 12.

Day 13

In your own space, set some goals for the coming year. They can be fannish or not, public or private.

This year I will:

Write The Wallow.

Finish the Fanfic100 challenge. Only three prompts to go, I think, and The Wallow will fill one.
020: Colourless, 030 Death, 069 Thunder.

Use up lots and lots of leftover yarns in hats and scarves - reduce the unhelpful bits of the Stash and increase my stock of useful stuff/random presents.

Keep active

Not buy Chocolate for myself.

So there.

Go you! 3 prompts is totally doable!

But... but... but *who* will buy you chocolate????? A year without chocolate sounds horrifying to me. Ahahaha. *g*

I know what the stories are that fit the prompts, too. Just need to DO IT.

Oh, chocolate does happen along! Camp, for instance, is replete with it, and the Finnish chocolate is really good.

I've actually been doing that one for three or four years now, and am very proud of myself because I used to buy a *lot* of sweets. I don't mean that I won't eat chocolate, if someone else gives it to me, but the old habit of grabbing a bar of something any and every time I was in a shop that sold it, that was a bad habit for so many reasons. I don't do that now, but I was backsliding a bit at the end of last year. Time to re-up the discipline!

I find a deadline helps wonderfully with getting a fic finished.

These are all excellent goals! I'm going to try and use up a lot of my stash and leftovers this year too.

I have so many slightly used balls of yarn... and several really beautiful balls that will make stunning projects at some point. But I definitely need to cut down the debris before I start on, say, the peacock shawl. (It's also an excuse not to start, ahaha!)

The Wallow! I can't wait!!

My own Wallow is a totally self-indulgent 19th century AU that I haven't touched in at least a year and a half, because...I think the idea of tackling a different time period gave me cold feet, in the end. But I'm feeling weirdly enthusiastic about it all of a sudden, which -- ?? I should probably follow your example and just write the damn thing, finally.
