Cat Report
Jan. 21st, 2018 07:36 pmPrincess Fluffykins has been eying the door from library to lounge with increasing interest for several days now, so today we thought we would let her through. We opened the door an hour before teatime, so as to be sure of getting her back into the library - she won't miss her dinner!
So I sat quietly with my knitting and trashy telly, and Princess Fluffy came in and explored. To my complete astonishment, Sable also appeared, glared at me from across the room, but spent a good while checking it out. Well! Of course, they both hurtled back to the safety of the top of the bookshelves when Beast came into the lounge, but still. I was delighted that Sable was willing to be within a few feet of me at ground level. She is a tiny little cat! Still, she has been getting her fair share of food - Beast has devised a system of spying on them from outside the room as they eat. He stands in the bay window of the lounge and can see Sable's dish, and her head down in it. And that Fluffy's head is *not* also down in it!
Bun and Boy came over yesterday to meet the new kitties, and invited us to their place for supper. We had to contend with post-football traffic, but dinner was very good. Her two cat babies are very comfortable these days, though one of them was nervous enough to run away when they were new. This is encouraging.
