One Day Later

As I look up from the computer, the sky outside is clear. Well, white, anyway. Which makes a nice change. However, when I go down to the kitchen, the huge stream of dark blue cloud is visible. Wind has changed. From the exciting pictures on the news, it seems the tanks are still merrily ablaze. And (sigh) the Boy has just been sent home from school. He does not seem distressed by this development.

Ho hum.

Isn't the smoke toxic or dangerous?

Apparently it's not too bad - and of course, while the fire still blazes, the smoke gets up quite high. When they get the fire extinguished, it may be more of a problem, but according to what I heard on the news, the level of pollution in the atmosphere at the moment is not much different to normal. Wierd.
