Mad Cat

My cat is stalking a date. A Medjool date (organic), which she appropriated from its pack. Actually, it got impaled on her claws, but apparently on purpose. And now it is a cunning and elusive date, rolling free and attempting to hide under the furniture. However, Socks is smarter than a date (possibly not by much) and has penned it in the corner of the sitting room. Ah. Now the date is playing dead, so Socks has lost interest.

I think I'll go to bed now, and leave her to it.

[Why does LJ have no 'bovine' option in the Mood theme? No 'bewildered', or 'recalcitrant' either, I notice. Humph.]

And this morning the date is gone! Playing dead worked and the cunning little date could get away from the dangerous feline under cover of darkness. Dates are tricky :-)
