My cat is stalking a date. A Medjool date (organic), which she appropriated from its pack. Actually, it got impaled on her claws, but apparently on purpose. And now it is a cunning and elusive date, rolling free and attempting to hide under the furniture. However, Socks is smarter than a date (possibly not by much) and has penned it in the corner of the sitting room. Ah. Now the date is playing dead, so Socks has lost interest.
I think I'll go to bed now, and leave her to it.
[Why does LJ have no 'bovine' option in the Mood theme? No 'bewildered', or 'recalcitrant' either, I notice. Humph.]

Date: 2006-01-12 06:19 am (UTC)Tigers-Eye has been crouching in the kitchen, trying to use x-ray vision to see beneath the cabinets. I set traps, and when I checked today, the trap had gone off, flipping itself upside down. Upon picking up said trap, the mouse caught by its hind foot (did it ALMOST get away? Whoah!) began writhing and squeaking.
So, I, uh, tossed it on the floor.
Tigers-Eye immediately seized it, and ran off with it, trap dangling from the doomed li'l bugger's other end, lol.
Poor mousey. My kitty played with it for 45 minutes or so before, um, consuming it. But T-E has no foreclaws, so I figured he's not very likely to get another chance, heh.
