And finally, WOW. I just watched (on YouTube) the 90th birthday tribute to Stephen Sondheim. It was due to be broadcast, presumably live from Broadway, about a month ago… instead, it is all kinds of people singing from their homes. People like Lin Manuel Miranda, Christine Baranski, Patti Lupone, Bernadette Peters, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Jake Gyllenhall. It's lovely, it's really moving, it's kinda sad, and it's brilliant. So many awesome singers. You should watch it.

The plant plastic looks promising, but what happens if you put the bottles in the normal plastic recycling?

Sadly, Biodegradable plastics (except for PET) should NOT be recycled, because they contaminate the process and result in low-quality recycled products.

Yes, it does seem that it ought to be an either/or thing - use them again, or let them decompose gracefully, not both.

The sorting process for recycling plastics must be horrendous.

I think that's why many plastics fail to get recycled. The cost of proper sorting is high and it's easy for a batch to get contaminated. eg. How about plastic plates with food still on them?
