My poor Princess Fluffykins had a disturbing day today. I spotted her walking along the fence between our garden and next-door, and realised she was being pursued by the skinny black cat, a frequent visitor. The black cat chased her up a large tree. I ran out and growled at it, and it ran away, but Fluffy wasn't sure how to get down. After trying to lure her along a branch that would be low enough for her to jump from, Beast and I got out our huge ladder, but by the time we took it to the tree, Fluffy had figured it out for herself and was inside, feeling very sorry for herself.

She's inside now, sleeping on the cardboard scratching couch. Sable is still out there in the night.

Poor Fluffy! That sounds quite stressful. I hope she gets to nurse her dignity in peace and comfort for a while now.

It's rather showery today, so she has a perfect excuse for loafing on the couch.

Poor Fluffy! Though at least she's now learned to get down from big scary trees on her own.

She at least managed to pick a tree that had fairly low branches, and didn't run up it to a ridiculous height!

It is! I found another picture with a gigantic rabbit lying next to a Sheltie dog. The rabbit was bigger.

Omg, having outdoor pets sounds amazingly stressful. I'm not sure I'd be able to handle it!

It halps to have a quite large back garden, which backs onto other back gardens and a disused school playing field! I have seen Fluffy at the front of the house (ie where the cars are) but only once or twice. Marauding interloper cats are a minot hazard by comparison, so far. Though I'm sure I saw Sable tell the skinny cat to Gerrahdavit once, and it did.
