Huh. I attempted to post, but I kept getting this message:

Your browser sent some text which isn't recognised as valid text in the UTF-8 encoding. This might happen if you forced your browser to view the previous page in some encoding other than UTF-8. It may also indicate a bug in the browser. Try copying the text into a text editor such as Notepad, then copying it back into the text box. If you still can't get around this error, contact us.

I... don't know what on earth I could have done. The Preview looked perfectly fine. Anybody?

I had this problem recently and I did copy the text into a text editor, but there was still a problem. So I had to paste the text in bits until I discovered the line that had the problem. It was some invisible character. Unfortunately, I don't remember what character it was.

Yeah, pasting it in Notepad and seeing if it'll show you the formatting of spaces and what not could print help.

(I don't remember if you're using Beta or Original Flavor entry box, if it'll post in Beta, then it's possibly OGFlavor being weird again, if you're in beta, something invisible showed up.)

I'm on a Mac, and composed the post in TextEdit because it contains several links, I don't know if that would make a difference. All the links showed up just fine in Preview. I had to stop using the Beta because there was some weirdness a while back, can't remember exactly what.

I've put the post into plain text and will have another go! Thanks for the suggestion.

It turns out I cannot post text that contains links, or at least, not the particular links I wished to post. My Beast suggested in a baffled way that perhaps it is because the page links have spaces in which are rendered as % signs?

A while back I discovered that I could not post to communities from my Post Entries page, and that was why I switched out of the Beta post entries. I think you probably suggested that, at the time!

That sounds tiresome but doable, I'll give it a try. I actually composed the post in TextEdit, so I don't know how anything could have crept in, but there's obviously something amiss!
