a good day for singing a song

We spent the afternoon singing with our Mixed chorus, which was lovely. People seem to have reassigned themselves to different voice parts without much prompting, which is cool. And we had cupcakes as a little celebration of our MD's recent nuptials.

My late FIL was of an acquisitive habit, particularly when it came to Free Stuff. This included rainwater. In addition to water butts next to the garden outbuildings he had three plastic dustbins and a large multi-gallon plastic tank. (He didn't use the saved rainwater. He used the hose, thus paying for the water, although of course, he didn't pay the water bill. We did.)
The multi-gallon plastic tank is no more. As I was scooping water from it into my watering can, it burst. I was flooded up to the ankles, and very much surprised.
Hmph.

I suppose it must have been that he couldn't handle the weight of the watering cans... at least, that was true in the end, but having set up all the water catching and storage, I think he went straight to the hose, which was carefully twined all around the edge of the garden so it could be left permanently in position. Grrr.
My magnificent

Well, at least it was just water. I hope your shoes survived the bath?
