A small miracle to report: I went in to M&S earlier this week to see about replacing my aged sports bra, and there were many bras in my size and larger! Last time I bought a sports bra it had to be a 38 band, but I'm really a 40. I'm sure I remember ranting at the time about how the women who actually need sturdy tamp-it-down bras are surely the larger ladies, not the 32Bs for whom there is an overabundance of choice. But things have changed! I could have gone bigger!

Our M&S also has a section for G-H bras, which seems very sensible.

I was basically a zombie yesterday due to not getting to sleep until after 4am. I had Rachmaninov's piano concerto in C minor going round and round my head (the All By Myself bit), managed to wrestle it out and replace it—with The Pina Colada Song, alas—and then a Beach Boys number which chased around my brain for a while until, sigh, the Rachmaninov came back. I mean, it's lovely music, but there's a limit to the number of times I would willingly play it.

WTF is up with Instagram? Or perhaps I should be asking, what is wrong with my new iOS? There used to be a nice, simple interface—I picked a pic, got it ready to share, added a caption, shared it to Instagram. Now... I am completely baffled. About a dozen choices are offered, NONE of which looks to be what I want.

M&S is the only place I've ever found (affordable) bras in my size! I've always been pleasantly surprised with their range.

As far as I can tell Instagram has just been removing features I use or moving them somewhere that takes several additional steps for me to use it rather than just one. Exhausting and unnecessary. If I didn't need it for work I'd just delete it and be done.

Instagram is quite a latecomer to me, and although I quite like sharing pics, it's not an essential part of my online life. It's also a bit weird, as my followers on there are half fannish friends, half RL friends. It feels quite odd!

M&S has always worked for me in terms of bras, except for sports bras. I'm pleased they've extended their range. OTOH, I'm not one of the unfortunate ladies who needs a very large cup size, so there has always been a reasonable amount of choice. The store here in Norwich has a very good underwear selection!

AITA is a carefully rationed pleasure for me because it's so addictive. One thing I love is how the title usually suggests the opposite of the actual verdict: "AITA for knocking a kid to the floor" turns out to be someone who grabbed a toddler whose shirt was on fire and rolled them on the floor to put out the fire, while "AITA for cleaning my boyfriend's room" turns out to be by someone who threw away the boyfriend's comic book collection and the picture album of his dead best friend to "help him stop living in the past" or some such bullshit.

Yes! They do go for the outrageous titles, definitely. There are occasional gems by people so oblivious that they seem to regard the most appalling behaviour as reasonable - which I'd think were trolls if I hadn't seen too much of that on problem pages etc - and horrifying ones from brainwashed young women who seem to think their middle-aged husbands are right about everything. But the fun ones are not so clear cut.

I don't read AmITheAsshole compulsively, but do usually enjoy it when I do wander through - I usually have Opinions, and it's interesting to see how others react to the posts

glad it got there! it's nice to have Real Mail arrive - I know I'm always tickled when I get a note in the box

I'm mildly interested to see what I react to - so many are kinda routine bad-behaviour-meh posts, but there are some good ones now and again.

Oooh yeah, my sports bra is from M&S and I'm like 90DD. It is also excellent sports bra; nothing moves, great support!

They are definitely on the right track, if that's not too on-the-nose! I've now exercised with one of my new ones, and all seemed well.

YAY M&S!! Having bras that fit is such a good thing. And finding them in stores is always a bonus.

It was quite annoying not to be able to try them on - I have bought five (!), because two of the hangers had two bras on, and will be returning three. I'd have preferred to try them on in the shop.

AITA is an amazing place. I assume that it originally started off with (mostly) real posts, but now it's like a spontaneously created fanfic forum for advice column fans. You can see the new plots ripple through the postings after someone comes up with a novel idea.

I wonder if the better-written posts are those cunningly devised for entertainment, and the worst are the semi-literate ones with no paragraphs? I suppose that would be a bit of a giveaway.

I think the better-written ones are the ones made up by good writers, and the semi-literate ones with no paragraphs are the ones made up by bad writers. (Or perhaps, since they're more convincing, better writers hiding how good they are?)

Hooray for bras that fit!! I hate bras with a passion and sorely miss the days when I could do without. I always feel constricted even in the most well-fitting bra.

I feel for you! Noone should have to endure brain music that won't stop.
