Odd dream last night, but quite memorable. I was at some kind of meeting in a room with a bar, and Daniel Craig was there, very natty in a suit. He talked to some people, then came up to me and shook hands and we had a conversation - none of which I can remember, but it was very nice.

Odd, though.

The diabetes doctor at my GP practice has changed. Used to be a rather nice chap, now is a rather brusque man who makes me want to eat ALL THE DOUGHNUTS. Hmph. I have been asking for six months for more help controlling my blood sugars, and he just goes round the same old loop.Of course, I should have iron self-control, but I don't.

A busy week ahead, with a Smart Meter installation, a Smear, a Drilling Survey (prep for ground source heat pump), PAT testing for my laptops, cavity wall insulation AND a day-long mini-convention at which I will be one of the "Tech" people. (cue Hollow Laughter) I'm a wee bit stressed about this latter as I've never seen the venue. Although the 'tech' is actually pretty simple (I hope), just pointing a laptop camera at something. Well, we'll see.

The practice in general is not bad - the nurses there are very good - and he'll probably move along in due course like the last one did. Eh.

It's so irritating to be condescended to, really. I mean, he probably knows his stuff, but.....

That sounds like a nice dream, but a very busy week!

We got a smart meter a month or so back now I'm paranoid about electric usage.

I had to check when I used the boiling tap how much extra usage there had been (1p)! I totally get the paranoia. It will certainly be interesting. Beast actually bought a special plug that will send readings to your phone, and has been going round the house plugging in various things to see what is expensive. I'm just leaving him to it.

That does indeed sound like a very odd dream. I always found it very strange the kind of dreams one remembers.

Ugh, doctors like that shouldn't be allowed to practice! They do more harm than good to their patients!

I wish I could have remembered the conversation, just in case I was cool, calm and collected in it.

The nurses at the practice are by contrast very nice and capable - the smear today went well and the nurse noted that I haven't actually had a full diabetes assessment this year and is going to book me in after the next blood test. I guess my feet need checking (Beast performed a foot check using a discarded cat whisker, but it's not quite official!).
