I used my large Lush pot of Magic Crystals in this morning's shower. (Er, not all of it.) I like their body scrub products, and it is quite fun being covered with something that on my pallid pink skin is basically a muted magenta, but sadly, it smells more like toothpaste than anything else. Being smeared with toothpaste is less appealing. I recommend the Rub Rub Rub (citrus and salt) and the Orange (guess!) instead. Both will leave you feeling agreeably polished.

We have to move the amelanchier tree before chaps with large machinery arrive to drill holes in our garden, so Beast and I have been out in the garden up to our wrists in dirt as we try to liberate the roots. It's hard work. There is a huge mound of soil now, and a huge hole ready to receive the tree (with its own attendant huge pile of dirt), but we have not quite got to the point of being able to pull the tree out of the ground. Possibly tomorrow afternoon, wish us luck!

We watched Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings this evening and enjoyed it very much.

Strongly approved of the choice of languages, though it made eating supper as we watched a little awkward, as we had to keep watching for the subtitles. Also strongly approved of the relationship between Shang-Chi and Katy, which was so much fun to watch. Awesome fight scene on scaffolding. How can someone who plays a character by the name of Razor Fist be called Florian? I mean. He doesn't look like a Florian. He looks a lot more like a Razor Fist. Also, Tony Chiu-Wai Leung is really gorgeous.

Fingers crossed for the tree move!

And Shang-Chi was truly awesome. I loved that Katy was allowed to remain his friend and not have to become a love interest. Also also mournful but stern Xu Wenwu was a sight to behold indeed!

It is in its new spot now, watered and pruned, so fingers crossed. It is pretty tree so I hope it lives!

Awkwafina's deep voice always surprises me, but I love it.

I hope it went well! I had to move my (much smaller) amelanchier this fall. I had planted the poor thing in a spot which turned out to be pretty much full shade, and it was slowly wasting away. I think it'll be happier in its new home. But moving even a small shrub is not light work.

Ours wasn't getting a lot of sun where it was - on the north side of the house and in a copious hedge, so perhaps it will actually be happier now. I hope so! It certainly wasn't easy—some of the roots were huge.

I'm always a little let down when I try Lush products that I'm not keen on. I haven't found a hair product yet that suits me and their toothpaste range was a hard nope.

I agree with you about Shang-Chi, it was such a fun film and I like it didn't try to force a love interest, just a good friendship.

Beast and I like the hard shampoo—and it last for *ages*. I've also always been fond of American Cream conditioner, which smells so good. But I agree on the toothpaste - just didn't work for me at all.

Katy was a great character—also, how good to see a GIRL doing the serious driving!

No, smearing yourelf with toothpaste doesn't sound very appealing at all. Citrus sounds much more enticing.

It's a pity - in theory something minty would be fine, but it needs to be a whole lot sharper!

The amelanchier is now moved, pruned, and watered, so I hope it will survive. My gardening works on a 50/50 assumption: it'll live, or it won't. Eh.

I'm sure it will. Amelanchiers are very hardy!
