doesn't matter much how old i grow
Mar. 6th, 2023 11:33 amWell! Thank you, everyone who responded to my previous post. I admit, I had been expecting that there would be *someone* advocating for the squirrels not being shot with a stream of water, but you were universally in favour, though some of you quite reasonably pointed out that it won't actually help. Which is true, I know.
I shall prime the water pistol!

I am preparing to do battle with HMRC this afternoon about my pension. Many odd things cropped up when I reviewed the situation—firstly, I thought I wouldn't be getting my pension until I am 67, but apparently it will start when I am 66, which, fair enough. Then there are some odd gaps in the National Insurance payments, one when I was at university—and it is flanked by two other full years when I was at university—and two others when I should (I think) have been in receipt of Child Benefit and thus paid for. I thought maybe the CB ceased to be payable, but as far as I can see, it only became means tested some years later.
So it should be an interesting conversation. Mind, Beast talked to someone about his pension and payment of missing years, and said the person at the other end of the line was extremely helpful. So wish me luck.
