how could i go it alone?
May. 24th, 2023 04:44 pmThere are two crows that regularly visit the back garden. I call them WonkyWing and Mate. Beast mowed the lawn yesterday, in the process removing a small part of the 'wildflower' bit on one side. The crows patrolled the entire garden, I swear, inspecting the changes and discussing it all as they went. Overall, I think they were pleased, as they found quite a lot of worms!
Subsequently, there was an altercation with a squirrel. When I refill the bird feeders I leave a small pile of peanuts and suet bits by the pond, for the crows. In which the squirrels obviously take an interest. Well, WW was facing off with a squirrel, which was definitely standing its ground and even making threatening moves. The two of them kept this up for several minutes, until Mate showed up and joined in, at which point the squirrel decided it was outmatched. Quite a little drama!
