When we got home, Beast discovered something odd on the wall above the window at the top of the stairs.

A slug.

How did it get there??????

Slugs are crafty.

They kept getting under the kitchen door at mine and after I found some in the cat bowls I tried various ways to keep them out. In the end, the best was a line of salt at the door, so my kitchen now looks like something from a Supernatural ep.

*giggles* I see little shiny tangled trails on the carpet here and there, which is disturbing. I would have thought the little sods would find it uncomfortable to squeege about on carpet, particularly since there is a bristly doormat inlaid by the front door, but apparently they don't care. Augh.
