it's not that easy being green
Mar. 10th, 2024 11:27 pmSo many frogs!
I have
chalcopyrite and
turlough visiting me this weekend. Yesterday we went into the city for brunch, then wandered gently through the streets along to St John's Cathedral, thence on to the Plantation Gardens.... so many frogs! Never seen so many frogs ambling about on a gravel path. Many of them copulating. So many frogs! Beast and I watched in some astonishment as one enterprising little amphibian leaped up a set of steps, each many times higher than it was.

Today,
chalcopyrite,
turlough and I went to the East Anglia Yarn Festival. It was surprisingly uncrowded. We took it at a leisurely pace, and between us purchased many find and handsome yarns and not a few notions. The Festival continues not to provide enough opportunities for tea or coffee, with only one stand in the main hall (to be fair, there was a stall outdoors which probably got precious little custom), and a permanent twenty-minute queue. Also, inadequate map in the Guide. But, lots and lots of covetable yarn. I have petted many skeins today.
This evening,
chalcopyrite, Beast and I watched "Poor Things", which was.... quite an experience. I'm in awe of the screenwriter, the composer, and the set designer(s). The acting was pretty cool, too.

Date: 2024-03-13 08:23 pm (UTC)Once again, thank you so much for having me this weekend. I had such a wonderful time, both on Saturday and Sunday. I started entering all the yarn I bought on Ravelry this afternoon but it's going to take at least one more day before I'm finished. I think I got a bit carried away ;-)
