Back on my own computer

We have The Plumbers in. They've eviscerated the ensuite bathroom and are also going to do Stuff with the central heating. It'd be nice to have three functioning loos when Visitors Arrive. (glee!) Due to the computer set-up in my bedroom, which means that when I'm sitting here I block passage to the door, I have taken to using the laptop downstairs during the day. No Photoshopping for me (so far) today, and no email either. So if I've left orphaned comments on anyone else's LJ and haven't followed up replies, it's cos I'm not getting to my emailed alerts.

Have, however, made considerable progress on my Remix story since last posting. It *seems* to be going quite smoothly, so I have an uneasy feeling it may be complete bollocks. This is not at all what I had in mind when I signed up, but it's a lot more difficult than I thought it would be. Meep.

Edited to add: speaking of challenges, koff, I have been thinking of running one myself. Any advice on the subject will be welcome! It'll be a Dragon Challenge, popslash of course...

No advice on the challenge, but I'm eager for it. I have a WIP with a dragon and I can't finish anything without a deadline :P

Excellent! Yes, I know what you mean about deadlines - the pressure can be a bit terrifying, but sometimes it's the only way I get stuff done!

Ooh, no, no terrifying exchange restrictions! But I think I might make it anonymous, for a little while, 'cause I think it's interesting reading and reviewing without knowing who wrote a story.

I'm all for more challenges because that means more stories to read. I also like the idea of not posting the writers' names imediately. No matter how much I wish it weren't so I still read a story differently depending on if I know who the writer is or not.

And of course YAY!! Dragons!!!!

It was really interesting doing DWNOGA and having feedback sent by people who didn't know who the author was. So I'd definitely like to do that.
