I remembered at 2pm that I was supposed to take the car in today to see if the CD could be mended. The garage having expressed willingness to see the car, I took it in, and wandered along the canalside to Sainsburys while they did what they had to do. It's pretty along the waterside. And there was a heron! Standing like a statue until I got to within two yards of it, at which point it flapped lazily back down the canal a little way. I spose that means there are fish.
Looks as though the CD may be replaced on Thursday, just in time for the odyssey northwards.
Dammit, my indolent daughter has now discovered the 24 dvds my brother gave me for Christmas/birthday. (My brother is not good at deadlines.) Will I ever get her out of the house and into employment?
Icon - in use because it's irresistible.
