Funny thing, icon style. Sometimes I look at an entry and am sure it's yours, others I don't get at all. (But while I was doing a handful of extra Lance ones this week, I tried and tried to do a particular picture, but anything I did with it reminded me so strongly of one of your icons that I just had to abandon it!)

I don't think I've had that happen to me yet but I'm sure it will come. Particularly since I always feel that I don't really have a style of my own and is just messing around trying out different techniques so I'm always wary of imitating someone else's icons too closely. Sometimes I'm afraid that I do it unconciously but since no one has called me on it I suppose I haven't done so. At least not yet.

PS Have I told you how striking that Justin icon you're using are? Wonderful colours and composition!

It's funny - I sometimes feel I have a style of my own, but that translates to 'my icons are all the same', so I'm not even sure it's a good thing. I think it's nice to play around with lots of different techniques and possibilities - which is why I like to check through icon_tutorial, because although much of what is in there is dross, I have also learned some really interesting things.

I'm rather fond of my Justin Rough... I have some really pretty floral mask brushes which I hardly ever use. As for the colouring, I vaguely remember it being a happy accident. :-)
