My Boy ran out of pills this morning, so there was something of a kerfuffle, but we got the pharmacist to provide a week's worth in advance of getting the prescription renewed, phew, and then went off to do a Maize Maze. Back in time for the Beast to raid, so everyone's happy.

Last of the icon clearoutgiveaway today. Help yourself, credit and comment are appreciated. I love to see icons I've made in use, so I hope you like something from today's batch.

I want to snag a bunch of these. But I can't from this computer. May I come back later and do so?

I just went and did so. And I saw her announcement. It's strange to acctually "meet" people who think like that instead of just hearing about them. I also can't help but marvel at how people can decieve themselves and only see what they want to see. I'm not the least bit suprised that Lance is gay and that has very little to do with popslash and much more with what I've heard about him. His posse of girls for example is pretty typical of all the gay men I've ever known, they always have far more female friends than male ones. I know I'm probably generalising horribly but for me that has become a very clear indicator of a man's sexual leanings :-)

I think most Western Europeans are bewildered by way religion is used in the political debate in the US. We all know too many horrible examples of what happens when you mix religion and politics to be as unthinking about it as they are. Of course I'm also an atheist, and I live in the most secularised country in the world according to recent studies so I might be biased.

What also made me wonder a little was how she cited her upbringing as a reason. That feels like such a flimsy excuse to me. If you're grown-up you should by definition be able to question the way you were brought up and decide for yourself what you want to keep and what to reject of the values you were taught. Shouldn't you?

I don't even know what post you're talking about, and I'm annoyed.

Just thought I'd say.

I know. But really, you don't have to be a slasher not to be stupid.
